Hays are working with a public sector organisation to recruit for a temporary Admin Officer. The Admin Officer will provide an effective and efficient administrative support service to those within their department, carrying out a range of administrative tasks, including use ofputer systems and maintaining goodmunication with colleagues.
Your new role
1. Perform general administrative tasks and support colleagues, including handling calls, preparing letters, emails, and spreadsheets.
2. Provide various typing services such as word processing, audio typing, and copy typing.
3. Maintain and update filing systems, both manual andputerised.
4. Handle sensitive information confidentially.
5. Address queries from internal and external sources.
6. Assist colleagues in their work with external agencies.
7. Manage the opening, distribution, and recording of iing correspondence.
8. Answer calls, take messages, and relay them to colleagues.
9. Take notes or minutes during meetings.
10. Photocopy and prepare documents for distribution or processing.
11. Ensure office security in all interactions.
12. Manage all records, including corporate and administrative ones, inpliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
5 GCSEs at grade A – C to include Maths and English (or equivalent)ANDA minimum of 1 years’ experience working in an administrative role within a Regulatory, Criminal Justice, Human Resources, Finance or Legal environment, including:
13. Experience of handling sensitive personal data in line with data protection and in a confidential manner.
14. Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
15. Excellentmunication skills.
16. Proven ability to use own initiative.
