SW-007-LAB-267 Labourer £14 - £15.69 p/h PAYE Ongoing Temp role Starting ASAP Based in Romford, East London/Essex Position good to knows NO CSCS REQUIRED Working for a We are currently seeking an experienced Labourer to join a busy social housing maintenance team working across properties in London Borough of Havering. This is a long-term temporary position working with Plasterers on planned works in communal social housing blocks with the key works consisting of being: * Keeping work areas tidy, stripping walls of old Artex, mixing up plaster and supporting Skilled Plasterers as part of a 2 and 1 gang * The main areas of work will consist of communal areas in housing estate stairwells Your key duties * Collecting and moving bulky waste and discarded building materials * Unloading materials and moving them around site * Sweeping up work areas and keeping areas clear of excess waste material * Undertake the cleaning of work areas, ensuring a safe and clean work environment * Lifting and moving tools and equipment as directed * Supporting skilled workers by providing them with necessary materials, tools, and assistance with their tasks * Performing various physical tasks as needed to support project completion, including manual labour and operation of basic tools * Adhering to safety guidelines and directions from supervisors and other team members Key Skills and Qualities: Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods Teamwork: Effectively collaborating with others and contributing to a positive work environment Following Instructions: Understanding and carrying out tasks as directed by supervisors Punctuality: Arriving on time and maintaining a consistent work schedule Willingness to Learn: Openness to learning new skills and techniques related to the job Attention to Detail: Ensuring tasks are completed accurately and safely Hours and pay ✔ 40 Hours per week ✔ Hourly paid (£14 PAYE holiday pay or £15.60 PAYE Rolled up holiday pay) ✔ Temp basis Next step to apply for this Labourer role: As a candidate ideally with similar experience, you will already know the this roles duties, but following your application of interest, you will have the role explained in more detail ITS Property Maintenance specialise in working within the social housing sector where we work with: ✅ Housing Association ✅ Local Authority ✅ Direct Labour Organisation ✅ Maintenance Contractors ✅ Estates Department ✅ FM Contractors.
