About the Role FT Recruitment are supporting our client to recruit for an experienced Logistics, Compliance and Customer Service Manager to join their team on a FTC basis with potential extension or permanent opportunity. In this position you will be responsible for ensuring orders are seamlessly delivered to customers in accordance with the agreed schedules and thorough compliance processes being followed. You will be the main point of contact to all of the businesses commercial customers as well as internal stakeholders; monitoring, updating and tracking orders, dashboards and KPI’s. The successful candidate will bring strong operational logistics experience combined with a thorough understanding of import/export compliance, customs procedures, and HMRC regulations. This is a full time (37.5 hours), 100% office based role. Key responsibilities will include: Manage and maintain key client relationships, providing consistent updates on customers orders and logistics Manage an operations team, ensuring deadlines for deliveries of goods and services are met Updating weekly and monthly order schedules/ dashboards Ensure all shipments are scheduled on time and invoiced efficiently Monitor logistics performance metrics and implement improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of all shipments Work closely with internal departments to ensure key information is passed on to clients in a timely manner and invoicing processes are accurate Ensuring all export/ important and licence records are compliant Provide timely responses to customer concerns/ queries with regard to compliance policies, processes and requirements Experience & Qualifications required: Strong logistics, compliance, materials and customer service experience is essential for this role Ability to build strong relationships & rapport with customers/ clients to maintain and develop long lasting relationships Critical time management, working to strict deadlines and under pressure Previous management experience is essential as this role will involve managing a team Strong ability to prioritise workload effectively Strong business systems knowledge such as Salesforce is highly desirable UK & International Logistics experience such as Export Compliance, working with HMRC and Dangerous Goods Management is essential Great attention to detail, strong time management with strong communications skills
