Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a high-performing team of Water Quality and Water Regulations experts.
Act as SESs lead expert in Water Quality, guiding compliance with regulatory standards and best practice.
Develop and deliver strategic plans to ensure the safety, quality, and optimisation of drinking water from source to tap.
Champion Drinking Water Safety Planning and a "Quality First" culture across the business.
Provide authoritative guidance during incidents and emergencies.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders, regulators, and public health bodies to maintain and grow confidence in our drinking water.
Manage and monitor water quality performance, investments, and process improvements.
What Were Looking For:
A degree in a relevant scientific field (essential); chartered status or membership of a professional scientific body (desirable).
Significant management experience within water quality or related scientific operational roles.
Strong understanding of water treatment, distribution, water quality legislation, and safety planning.
Proven ability to lead and empower technical teams, deliver change, and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Full UK driving licence.
