Are you an experienced administrator with a passion for efficiency, and supporting the smooth running of corporate functions? This is an exciting temporary opportunity to join an exciting public sector organisation as a Senior Administrator in the Corporate Services team, this a pivotal role ensuring the effective delivery of finance, facilities, IT, and governance operations within a dynamic public-sector environment. This is a four month temp contract with an opportunity for extension.
The Role
The Senior Administrator plays a key part in supporting the Corporate Services Team across a broad range of functions - including finance, IT, health & safety, information governance, and facilities management.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Supporting financial operations - raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and completing payment assurance checks.
* Overseeing records management, including the secure disposal of documentation.
* Acting as the Premises Officer and Health & Safety Officer, ensuring a safe and well‑maintained workplace.
* Coordinating maintenance schedules and managing contractors and suppliers.
* Assisting with procurement activities, tenders, and contract management.
* Supporting staff with IT queries and liaising with external IT partners.
* Participating in staff induction, business continuity planning, and internal events.
The Person:
We're looking for a highly organised and proactive individual with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
Essential Criteria:
* Minimum of 3 years’ recent relevant experience in an administrative role within an office environment.
* Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
* Experience managing health & safety within an office setting.
* Ability to support and guide colleagues to ensure effective office operations.
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience in facilities management and finance systems.
* Previous experience within the public sector.
* Experience producing briefing papers, reports, or policies.
* A qualification in health & safety.

Package and Benefits:
* Hourly rate: £15.88 - £16.37
