Your new role
As Finance and Administration Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the operational functions of the organisation. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of finance and administrative duties that underpin the organisation’s fundraising, grant-making, and public engagement activities.Your responsibilities will include:Finance Duties:
1. Processing invoices and payments using accounting software
2. Tracking donations and pledges, and managing bank lodgements
3. Monitoring online donation platforms
4. Preparing financial reports and departmental analysis
5. Maintaining the asset register and financial filing systems
Administrative Duties:
6. Weing visitors and supporting meeting setups
7. Upholding organisational policies and procedures
8. Providing general administrative support across departments
This is a varied and hands-on role that requires excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you’ll need to meet the following essential criteria:
9. Either:2 A-levels (or equivalent) plus 2 years’ experience using accounting softwareOR 3 years’ experience using accounting software
10. GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above)
11. Strong written and verbalmunication skills, including a professional telephone manner
12. Proven ability to work methodically with high attention to detail and meet deadlines
13. Professional appearance and conduct
14. Full driving licence and access to transport for work purposes
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook
Desirable: When shortlisting, the client reserves the right to apply the desirable criteria in merit order as follows: More than 3 years’ experience of using accounting software within the last 5 years A relevant third level qualification
