We are currently seeking an experienced Cook for an immediate start at the Braid Valley Hospital in Ballymena. This position is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3pm. The payrate is £12.31 per hour. This is a temporary position lasting three months with the potential to go permanent. The main duties of this role include: Prepare and cook meals to menu plans and dietary specifications, ensuring high standards and compliance with hygiene regulations. Receive, store, rotate, and serve food safely, maintaining correct temperatures. Monitor stock, assist with ordering and rotation, and minimise waste. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and service areas, including equipment and surfaces. Record and report information such as temperature checks, portion control, equipment faults, and service data. What we need from you Hands-on experience in food preparation and cooking. Knowledge of CoSHH regulations. NVQ Level 1 & 2 in Catering, Food Preparation, or a related field. What we will offer you Inclusion into our company's pension scheme.
