Payroll and HR Officer required for permanent opportunity
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Salary depending on experience
Joining an established Human Resources team, you will support the smooth and efficient delivery of both payroll and HR services. Your focus will be on accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting, along with contributing to essential HR functions such as recruitment, absence management, and employee training and development. This role aims to foster a supportive and compliant work environment, upholding both legal obligations and company policies.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Ensure payroll processes comply with current employment laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
* Accurately prepare and process payroll for all employees according to established schedules and policies.
* Stay updated with legislative changes affecting payroll and advise management accordingly.
* Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee data, pay rates, deductions, and benefits.
* Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits, resolving discrepancies promptly.
* Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
* Collaborate with managers to ensure accurate time and attendance records are maintained and integrated with payroll systems.
* Uphold confidentiality and data security standards when handling sensitive payroll information.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
* Support audits by providing necessary payroll documentation and explanations.
HR responsibilities include:
* Manage end-to-end recruitment, including advertising, screening, interviewing, and reference checks.
* Facilitate onboarding processes to ensure a positive new employee experience.
* Provide support and guidance on HR policies and procedures.
* Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, addressing concerns fairly and consistently.
* Maintain accurate HR records, including contracts and leave records.
* Prepare HR reports and handle sensitive employee data confidentially.
* Assist with performance appraisal processes and support managers and employees in understanding performance expectations.
* Support management in all HR aspects and participate in HR meetings and initiatives.
* Maintain records of training activities, ensure documentation aligns with standards, and assist in planning annual training programs.
* Coordinate with internal and external training providers to deliver quality learning opportunities.

* Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
