As part of this exciting growth, Autism NI is seeking a dynamic and organised Fundraising Events Officer to lead on the planning and delivery of fundraising events and campaigns across Northern Ireland. Your new role The Fundraising and Events Officer will report to the Head of Fundraising and Communications, and will be responsible for securing income to support Autism NI's ongoing work and new projects. You'll manage a calendar of fundraising events, build relationships with schools and community groups, and coordinate signature campaigns and third-party events. From concept to delivery, you'll ensure every event is impactful, well-organised, and aligned with fundraising targets. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering Autism NI's annual programme of fundraising events Managing school and community fundraising activities across NI Securing sponsorships, gifts in kind, and external event support Maximising income from third-party events (e.g. Belfast Marathon) Recruiting and managing event volunteers Creating communication plans and promotional materials Coordinating social media and online presence for events Maintaining detailed records to support future planning Supporting other fundraising activities as needed What you'll need to succeed You'll be a confident organiser with a flair for communication and a passion for making a difference. You'll bring: A degree-level qualification Events management experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience using Microsoft Office, email, and social media Excellent organisational skills and self-motivation Access to personal transport and a full driving licence Desirable: Experience in a fundraising position Proven success working to monetary targets Professional qualification (e.g. CIM or Institute of Fundraising) Personal qualities that will help you thrive: Confidence in building relationships and partnerships A goal-oriented and enthusiastic attitude Flexibility and a planned approach to changing priorities What you'll get in return This is a fantastic opportunity to join a values-led organisation making a real impact in the lives of autistic people across Northern Ireland.
