* The cook will be required to prepare and cook meals for our residents on daily basis
* Make sure choice of meals are offered, including cultural and dietary meals
* Be responsible for ordering food supplies, taking stock and ensuring their rotation
* Will have overall responsibility for ensuring safe running of the kitchen and meeting all Statutory organisational requirements (CQC & Environmental Health).
* At least 6 months experience of working in a residential kitchen setting for older people over the age of 65 years living with Dementia is desirable, but not essential
* Need to hold relevant cooking qualifications
* Minimum certificate on Food & Hygiene Level 2
* Ability to maintain accurate records
* Understanding of the dietary needs for older people
* Knowledge of health & safety and cooking processes
* Attend training courses relevant to your role
* Enhanced DBS
* 22 hours a week
