Purpose of the Role
To lead and manage the Quality team, ensuring all aspects of the quality function meet relevant standards such as ISO and BRC. The role maintains compliance, enhances production quality, and supports continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen business integrity, efficiency, and profitability.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
* Develop, implement, and maintain integrated quality systems that cover all stages of production from incoming materials to in-process manufacturing and finished goods.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable standards and certifications as required by site management.
* Oversee the effective operation of the Quality Management System (QMS) across all departments.
* Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects to drive operational excellence and product quality.
* Manage and allocate quality resources effectively to meet operational requirements and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Investigate customer complaints, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions. Maintain the complaints database accurately.
* Lead the organisation’s response to customer and internal quality concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
* Support supplier evaluation, selection, and development programs to ensure consistent quality throughout the supply chain.
* Promote a data‑driven, customer‑focused culture throughout the site.
* Communicate effectively with all levels of management and departments to foster collaboration and alignment on quality goals.
* Act as the site lead for customer, certification, and external audits.
* Coordinate and conduct internal audits in line with the audit schedule.
* Identify root causes of non‑conformances and recommend or implement corrective actions.
* Visit customer sites as required to support issue resolution and strengthen customer relationships.
* Chair the Management Review Meeting (MRM) and HACCP team meetings.
* Attend weekly Quality and Tooling meetings to review performance and progress on quality initiatives.

* Proven experience implementing and managing quality systems within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong background in leading or contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
* Pragmatic, hands‑on leadership approach with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.
* Excellent communication and motivational skills.
* Team‑oriented, collaborative mindset with the ability to lead by example.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and deliver under pressure.
* Proficient in numerical analysis and computer applications.
* Experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment; injection moulding experience is highly advantageous.
* Confident decision‑maker with the ability to act effectively on recommendations.
