Overview
We are seeking a presentable, polite, reliable and hardworking Labourer or Building Operative to join our small friendly team. This role involves supporting various operational tasks across our domestic sites, including keeping sites tidy and assisting in a variety of building works contributing to the smooth and efficient running of projects. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their experience within a hands-on role.
Duties
* Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
* Preparing work sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary tools and safety barriers
* Supporting skilled tradespeople with their tasks as required
* Moving, lifting, and organising materials around the site safely and efficiently
* Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of work areas throughout shifts
* Following health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a secure working environment
* Assisting with basic maintenance tasks on equipment and tools
Qualifications
* Previous experience in manual labour or construction is advantageous but not essential
* Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual handling tasks over extended periods
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
* Strong attention to safety protocols and procedures
* Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as needed
* Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to manual labour roles
