About The Company
An established civil engineering contractor delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across roads, sewers, drainage and plotworks. With a strong pipeline of secured work and continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join our team.
The Role
As Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of civil engineering projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
You will oversee operations across roads and sewers, drainage systems, and plotworks packages on residential and infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities
Managing site operations and supervising site teams and subcontractors
Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards
Coordinating plant, labour and materials
Liaising with clients, engineers, local authorities and utility providers
Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to senior management
Maintaining quality control procedures and ensuring specifications are met
Managing site documentation, permits and inspections
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering
Strong background in roads, sewers, drainage and plotworks
SMSTS (essential)
CSCS (Black/Gold Card preferred)
First Aid at Work
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Full UK driving licence
