Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Slinger to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials on-site. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a productive work environment.
Duties
* Operate and manage the slinging of materials using cranes or other lifting equipment.
* Ensure that all materials are moved safely and efficiently to designated areas on the construction site.
* Communicate effectively with crane operators and other team members to coordinate material handling activities.
* Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are met.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
* Assist in loading and unloading materials from vehicles as required.
Experience
* Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred, particularly in material handling or slinging roles.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey instructions clearly in English.
* A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting materials when necessary.
