About The Role

Shift pattern: 5 days per week, variable days.

As part of your role, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

* Work with the Senior Chef to create seasonal food and drink menus for the site and any events for the client and its visitors.
* Oversee all staff, including kitchen assistants, chefs, and servers, ensuring that the team’s creations meet the client’s needs and that all legal and company requirements are met daily.
* Be responsible for training team members on menus, serving procedures, company etiquette, safety standards, and regulations.
* Adhere to budgets set by the line manager when planning catering operations, allocating the budget for food, cooking equipment, staffing, and equipment.
* Establish relationships with vendors and ensure that food and other supplies are bought from the correct vendor, ensuring the best prices are obtained.


What We Are Looking For

* Experience at a multi‑site level within Contract Catering.
* The ability and interest in being hands‑on and visible at sites when visiting.
* Operations management or a related catering qualification at NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
* Strong natural leadership qualities who gain follow‑ship.
* Logical problem‑solving skills, able to think on their feet.


Ideal Candidate Criteria

* Right to work in the UK.
* Prepared to undergo a DBS or Enhanced Security Check.
* Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Hospitality Management is beneficial.
* Extensive experience in the management of catering operations and teams is essential.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of catering managers.
* Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and catering managers to ensure expectations are met.
* Effective in planning and coordinating catering services within the designated area.
* Food hygiene certificate (Level 3) is advantageous, though not mandatory.
