Care Home Quality, Systems & Risk Manager / Deputy Manager (Maternity Cover) £41,944 FTE (rising to c.£44,000 in 2026) | 30–37.5 hours | Medium sized care home We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, well-established medium sized care home who are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Quality, Systems and Risk Manager. This is a permanent role combined with Deputy Manager maternity cover until July 2026. This position is perfect for a current Deputy Manager or a strong senior care professional looking to step up, especially someone with good digital, audit or governance skills. It also suits individuals who are working towards (or wish to undertake) their Level 5 and are aiming to progress to Registered Manager level in the future. You will work closely with the Registered Manager and leadership team to drive quality, compliance and continuous improvement across the home. The Role Includes: Quality, Systems & Risk Responsibilities Leading and coordinating audits across care and operational areas Overseeing digital systems and ensuring data accuracy Creating, monitoring and reporting KPIs to track quality performance Working with Power BI and digital partners to enhance care and environmental outcomes Preparing reports and presenting insights at governance and management meetings Reviewing new technologies, digital solutions and home improvement initiatives Supporting staff training and implementation of new systems Deputy Manager (Maternity Cover) Responsibilities Supporting audits and quality assurance Medication management alongside the Assistant Manager Assisting with safeguarding, incidents and CQC notifications Occasional weekend management cover Temporary line management duties in the absence of the Deputy Manager Leading on induction, coaching and training for the team Covering additional responsibilities typically undertaken by the Deputy Manager What We’re Looking For Experience at Deputy Manager, Senior or equivalent level within adult social care Strong understanding of quality, compliance, governance or digital systems Confident with data, reporting, audits and improvement processes A collaborative leader who supports high-quality care delivery Level 5 not essential—support available for the right candidate For more information please apply now to Adam at Care First UK and we will call you asap.
