About the role:

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to the way in which Royal Navy personnel are trained. As the Media Developer Storyboarder you’ll support the Integrated Training Design Service to deliver learning that is blended, active and provides customer delight.


Requirements


Skills and Experience

* Demonstrate a passion for training transformation and continuous improvement.
* Demonstrate previous experience from a Learning and Development role.
* Demonstrate experience of creating media content and using tools such as Rapid Authoring and the MS Office suite.
* Have previously designed instructional training using storyboarding.
* Demonstrate excellent IT skills with the ability to use in‑house systems as well as a wide range of platforms including MS Office and SharePoint.
* Demonstrate an enthusiasm to learn, collaborate, communicate and demonstrate best practice within the business, customers and the wider team.
* Demonstrate attention to detail, a passion for quality, and be able to plan, multitask, deliver on time and work independently.
* Demonstrate previous experience with development tools such as Learning Management Systems and Learning Content Management Systems.


Desirable

* ADDIE model and Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
* Understanding of Quality Assurance processes.


Responsibilities

* Accountable for all media tasks assigned to you with regards to training transformation; an advocate for the creation of media that is active, engaging, inclusive and learner‑centric.
* Support the Media team in the production of interactive, innovative and engaging media content, adhering to the Courseware and Media production process.
* Write storyboard design with detailed content outlining actions with compelling and engaging content including scripts, scenes and general text.
* Review storyboards to ensure they adhere to high‑quality standards and procedures.
* Communicate clearly the detailed specifications in the storyboard for media developers to fully understand the requirement and guide when necessary.
* Validate the media development against the storyboard and key learning points (KLPs).
* Analyse and interpret equipment functionality, systems and processes to develop storyboarding media content for training lessons.
* Build strong stakeholder relationships with subject matter experts to contribute positively to training transformation.
* Work collaboratively with customers and colleagues to update storyboard design reviews, adhering to project deadlines.
* Maintain and adhere to asset management of electronic files, admin systems and document management control.
* Responsible for the continuous professional development of yourself.
* Adhere to the Quality Assurance procedures and standards.
* Ensure compliance with MoD & Raytheon (Team Fisher) policies, regulations and procedures.
* Employees are responsible for their own Health and Safety and that of work colleagues and customers.
* Follow security standards and system requirements to protect data and ensure smooth operations.
* Support the Integrated Training Design Service in any other duties requested.
* Occasional travel to other customer sites may be required.
