Purpose of the role
To design, develop, and improve software that delivers business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues.
Accountabilities
Development and delivery of high‑quality software solutions using industry‑aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensure code is scalable, maintainable, and optimised for performance. Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements, devise solutions, and integrate seamlessly with business objectives. Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of quality, and stay informed of technology trends to contribute to technical excellence. Adhere to secure coding practices and implement effective unit testing to protect data and ensure reliability.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain scalable, high‑performance C# applications for the Macro business platform.
* Design, implement, and support intraday risk systems that facilitate real‑time decision‑making and trading activities.
* Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and risk professionals to enhance risk‑management capabilities.
* Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
* Communicate complex information to stakeholders, influencing decisions and achieving outcomes.
* Lead or contribute to collaborative assignments, guiding team members and incorporating specialized expertise as needed.

Qualifications and Skills
* Strong C# development experience.
* Proven track record of solving complex technical problems.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience within the financial services industry.
* Experience with intraday risk systems.
* Experience with Redis and/or Kafka.
* Knowledge of risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology skills.
* Job‑specific technical skills relevant to the role.
