Scope of Position

The focus of the Global Sales Executive is on achieving results that are aligned with the overall organisation and our strategic goals. Initiative, coupled with a sense of competitive drive, and the ability to stay focused on results despite changing conditions, are the keys to achieving the performance objectives of the Global Sales Executive role at Expeditors. Our Global Sales Executives are focused on driving business development on our larger, more strategic accounts.

The Global Sales Executive orchestrates involvement of multiple people in our Sales process, so that new customer revenue is consistently secured for our district offices and Expeditors network. The job environment is flexible, constantly changing, and provides growth opportunity, recognition and reward for the achievement of business results.

Key Deliverables

These are the minimum results expected from a successful Global Sales Executive:

1. Manage a list of Named Accounts, and demonstrate success at closing new logo and new business with target and prospect accounts based on established new logo/new business revenue expectations.
2. Timely data entry in our Customer Relationship Management tool
3. Orchestrate customer / Expeditors network relationship and collaborate with regional Product, Service, Geo, and Knowledge Management resources
4. Participate in the creation of value-added solutions for customer's logistics needs, including supporting diagrams and cost-benefit calculations
5. Support the transition of new accounts through customer introductions, information transfer, and securing any necessary customer paperwork
6. When needed, support AR (accounts receivable) collection
7. Attend training & development sessions to continue developing selling skills and updating Expeditors Product and Service knowledge
8. Working knowledge of industry trends and forecasts
9. Take on additional assignments as required, supporting company needs

Qualifications

10. The ability to meet with customers off-site on a regular basis
11. Fluent in supply chain terms and concepts; including diagnosis, process mapping methodology, and decision-making cost drivers
12. Oral and written proficiency in the English language
13. Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
14. Ability to work productively both individually and in a team environment
15. Sense of urgency for goal achievement
16. Self-motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment
17. Comfortable with regular data entry on a laptop computer
18. Strong rapport and relationship-building focused
19. Empowered to make quick decisions in response to changing conditions
20. Extroverted, confident, enthusiastic and persuasive
21. Influences others to action
22. Timeliness and accountability for results
23. Minimum 5 years Sales experience
