Job Description
My client is seeking an experienced and driven Head of Estates to lead a flagship residential development in London. This is a senior, high-impact role with full responsibility for estates and facilities management across a dynamic and growing community.
You will oversee a large-scale mixed-use scheme, ensuring high standards in operations, compliance, and customer experience. This includes leading on-site teams, managing contractors and planned maintenance programmes, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-presented environment.
This is a visible leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys combining operational delivery with strong stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the day-to-day estates and facilities management operations, ensuring a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment.
* Oversee hard and soft services, including maintenance, cleaning, security, waste, and public realm management.
* Manage PPM programmes and contractor performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Take ownership of fire safety, health & safety, and regulatory compliance across the estate.
* Serve as the main point of contact for residents, leaseholders, and stakeholders, ensuring excellent communication and service.
* Develop, mentor, and lead the on-site team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Your Experience:
* Senior experience in estates, facilities, or operational leadership within residential or mixed-use developments.
* Background in BTR, large-scale residential, or mixed-use environments.
* Strong experience in managing contractors and service partners to deliver high standards.
* Solid understanding of health & safety, fire safety, and compliance frameworks.
* Proven leadership and team development skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, engaging clients, residents, and partners effectively.
