Conference and Events Sales Executive – Heart of England in Fillongley
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven Conference and Events Sales Executive to join our team at The Heart of England Conference and Events Centre. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives on building relationships, managing agents, and creating new opportunities through networking.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle telephone, face-to-face, e-mail, and online sales enquiries to company standards, ensuring all are processed and responded to in a timely and professional manner.
* Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, as well as nurture and support relationships with agents, ensuring they are well looked after and fully engaged.
* Actively network and attend events, both internally and externally, to promote the venue, build connections, and generate new business opportunities.
* Assist the Sales team in delivering exceptional customer service to clients, consistently going above and beyond expectations.
* Sustain rapport with key accounts by identifying specific needs and anticipating new opportunities.
* Consistently apply an up-selling approach to maximize profitability across the company.
* Assist in identifying new business channels, monitoring competitor activity, and raising awareness of the venue to increase revenues.
* Conduct professional site visits with both new and existing clients.
* Create contracts and function sheets for all conferences and events, ensuring information is kept up to date.
* Act as the main point of contact throughout the booking process, ensuring smooth communication and a seamless handover to the operations team.
* Be responsible for chasing and securing payments prior to events.
* Provide support to other areas of the business as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in conferences, events, and sales (hospitality background preferred).
* Previous experience working with or managing agents is advantageous.
* Confident telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skills.
* Strong networking ability, with confidence in representing the business at industry events.
* Skilled at using LinkedIn for business development, networking, and building client relationships.
* Highly organised, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and discipline in following processes.
* Positive attitude, determination to succeed, and the ability to use initiative.
* High level of IT proficiency, ideally with knowledge of Hubspot or Rezlynx.
* Reliable, punctual, and professionally presented.
