Role Overview
As a Site Manager you will oversee the day-to-day operations on‑site, ensuring that construction or project activities align with project goals and timelines, coordinate and manage resources, keep the project within budget, maintain safe and compliant operations, and serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring that construction or project activities align with project goals and timelines.
* Coordinate and manage resources, including labour, equipment, and materials, to ensure the successful execution of the project.
* Ensure that the project stays within budget and adheres to the schedule.
* Review and understand project plans, specifications, and scope of work to ensure all aspects are met.
* Provide direction, guidance, and support to the team to ensure high performance and quality work.
* Conduct regular team meetings to address project progress, issues, and safety concerns.
* Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained, and manage labour resources effectively.
* Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site to ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements.
* Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
* Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in line with the project specifications.
* Inspect and monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
* Address any quality issues immediately and coordinate with the relevant teams to resolve them.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders regarding site operations.
* Maintain clear and effective communication with all parties involved, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Prepare and submit regular progress reports, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and any potential delays.
* Document and resolve any issues or conflicts on-site promptly and professionally.
* Oversee the delivery and storage of materials and equipment on-site to ensure efficient workflow and minimize downtime.
* Ensure materials and equipment are used properly and safely.
* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and availability of materials.
* Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and ensure the site remains within budget.
* Approve invoices and manage the financial aspects of the site operations.
