Hours
8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Full‑time, term‑time position.
Responsibilities
* Work closely with secondary‑aged pupils who have been excluded from mainstream education.
* Support students on a one‑to‑one and small‑group basis, helping them re‑engage with education, develop positive relationships and make better life choices.
* Act as a consistent role model, supporting pupils to manage their behaviour, build trust and move toward a more positive future.
* Remain calm under pressure, set clear boundaries and de‑escalate challenging situations.
* Use strong interpersonal skills to relate to young people from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
* Employ sport or physical activity where appropriate to engage and build relationships.
Qualifications
* Experience in relevant roles such as SEMH teaching assistant, youth worker, prison officer, social worker, sports coach or similar positions with behaviour management and mentoring responsibilities.
* Genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people and helping them succeed.
