Role Summary This an exceptional opportunity to develop and execute the People & Culture strategy for one of the four key businesses within RES. Reporting to the Chief People and Culture Officer directly, and indirectly to the CEO of EMEA Development and Construction business, this role will work as part of the EMEA executive team to enable business growth and success by delivering the People & Culture agenda. As Head of People & Culture - EMEA, you will provide P&C guidance and act as partner to senior EMEA business stakeholders in a dynamic, multi-country environment. You will also provide leadership, strategic direction, and support to in country P&C leads. The role will report to the Chief People and Culture Officer and be part of a global P&C leadership team to drive the people and culture agenda across the whole RES group. The EMEA Development and Construction business develops renewable projects for clients across a range of technologies in UK, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Australia and Türkiye. With a revenue of circa £100 million the EMEA Region is made up of 450 dedicated professionals. Key Accountabilities Collaborate closely with the EMEA executive team, playing a critical role in shaping and driving the people agenda to achieve business goals Provide leadership, guidance and support for country-based P&C leads Initiate and lead P&C projects that contribute to organizational success and continuous improvement Work in collaboration with the Global P&C team, utilising global processes and resources for the needs of the EMEA business Lead the talent and performance management cycle, including Performance Management, Compensation Management, Succession Planning, and Leadership Development for the EMEA business Develop and execute the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion agenda for the business in support of the Group agenda and leveraging group resources where helpful Partner with the business on matters of organizational design and effectiveness, strategic workforce planning, skills assessment and development Utilize data analytics and reporting to identify areas for improvement and enable data-driven decision-making Utilise Talent Acquisition resources effectively to address hiring needs effectively, including executive search Offer compensation and benefits advice and analysis, working in conjunction with Group reward professionals Knowledge, Skills & Experience The role needs someone who can be both strategic and tactical and will work in partnership with the business leaders to develop and execute a people strategy to support the successful delivery of the EMEA Development and Construction business. They will also be required to deliver first-class P&C Business Partnering support and coaching; challenging and supporting business managers on how to engage employees; driving workforce planning, identifying talent and building effective people capabilities. You will bring Previous experience of working in a business partner people and culture role, preferably with multiple countries in your portfolio Strong people and team leadership competencies, including leading a matrixed environment Demonstrated ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives, driving improvements and value A deep understanding of employee engagement and organizational dynamics Experience in navigating rapid and complex work environments, including growth, with agility and adaptability Strong coaching and mentoring skills, including working with Executives and Leaders of Leaders Successful track record in creating and implementing development, retention, and reward programs Solution-oriented mindset with a track record of delivering measurable results Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions and work within a global HR team Proficiency in using data-driven analysis to identify and solve problems Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to engage and interface with individuals at all levels of the organization and across diverse functions Demonstrated project and program management capabilities Qualifications Degree level HR or Equivalent preferred At RES we celebrate difference as we know it makes our company a great place to work.
