An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a strategic and proactive Head of People to lead all aspects of HR across a high-performing and well-respected educational organisation based in Southampton. About the Role This is more than an HR role; it's a chance to shape the culture, development, and wellbeing of a dedicated team of professionals. Reporting directly to the Business Director and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be the go-to expert for all people matters, from strategy and policy to employee relations and recruitment. You’ll lead a small HR team and oversee the full employee lifecycle, providing guidance to line managers, delivering people projects, and ensuring best practice HR standards throughout. You’ll also play a key role in supporting wellbeing initiatives and workforce development planning. We’re Looking For Someone Who: - Is CIPD-qualified (Level 5 or above) and has significant experience in a senior HR role - Brings sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice - Can operate strategically while being hands-on and approachable - Is confident advising SLT and senior stakeholders - Has a natural affinity for working in values-led, people-focused environments Experience within education or the public sector is desirable but not essential. What matters most is your ability to lead, influence, and drive a positive people agenda.
