Job Summary: Role Summary As the Head of People, your role is to lead the People Function for SpecTec. You will be responsible for delivering a progressive People Strategy that supports growth and drives the development of a high-performing, inclusive and agile workforce. You will be responsible for shaping and executing the People strategy to support the overall business objectives. You will foster a culture of accountability an engagement and lead transformational People initiatives across the business. You will be part of the Leadership team, and you’ll partner closely with the CEO and Leadership team to shape organisational design, drive change and ensure our culture and capabilities evolve with our growth ambitions. To hold our values at the core of our actions Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Strategic Leadership Lead the design and delivery of the People Strategy to support business growth, performance, talent management and operational excellence aligned to SpecTec’s strategy and BHAG Support alignment of goals and objectives to overall business strategy Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO, Senior Leadership and Group on People related matters Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to provide strategic HR insight particularly on structures, talent and leadership development, engagement and culture and communications Lead organisational design, workforce planning and change management initiatives to support growth and performance Lead on change and transformation initiatives aligned to commercial objectives People Operations and Compliance Oversee the delivery of core People services, including employee relations, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, employee relations, HR systems and compliance Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies across all jurisdictions Develop and update People policies, procedures and employee handbooks when needed Talent Management and Development Lead talent acquisition strategy and employer branding to attract top talent Drive performance enablement, scorecard reviews, succession planning and leadership development Oversee learning and development initiatives to support People growth and organisational capability Develop leadership capability through coaching and talent planning Deliver training to the business/People Leaders on development topics identified Support senior leaders with building development plans Drive and promote our learning and development offering to our people including Percipio and any learning opportunities from ourselves or Group Build People capability across the business, coaching the Leadership Team, and People Leaders to drive accountability Employee Engagement and Culture Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction and retention Lead the delivery of Peakon engagement surveys, action planning and culture building activities Promote open communication, feedback and continuous improvement across the business Wellbeing and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Lead and champion wellbeing and DEI initiatives Lead progressive steps and initiatives to achieve an inclusive business and mature status using the Volaris DEIB maturity assessment People Analytics and Reporting Utilise People metrics and analytics to drive insights and data-based decision making Present regular reports to senior leadership team and group on People KPIs (e.g. attrition, engagement and diversity metrics) Lead the people section of the Quarterly strategic review Wellbeing and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Champion diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging initiatives and foster a strong, inclusive company culture Foster a culture of inclusivity and belonging People Projects Oversee and lead on various People projects such as reward and recognition programs, values integration, engagement surveys, wellbeing, EDI&B and other initiatives aimed at enhancing the employee experience and satisfaction People Leadership and Culture Ambassador Lead and develop the People Team, ensuring high standards of service delivery and collaboration Regular check ins and development sessions Manage performance, absence, recruitment and development processes in Workday Be a cultural ambassador, helping to embed our Compass and support a high performing, inclusive, people first environment Model and uphold our core values, recognising positive behaviours and constructively addressing misalignment Required Skills & Experience Experience Proven success in a senior People role supporting senior leadership Experience operating at either a Senior People Partner or Head of People role Experience of working in a software, SaaS or tech driven business is preferable but not essential Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of how people drive business performance Worker Type: Regular Number of Openings Available: 1
