Glue Resourcing are delighted to be supporting a well-established Northampton-based recruitment business in the search for an experienced and driven Head of Recruitment.
This is a unique opportunity for a recruitment leader who understands that successful recruitment is about far more than generating applications and registrations. This role is focused on managing recruitment performance through data, process, team leadership and conversion, ensuring recruitment activity consistently translates into new starters and filled shifts.
As Head of Recruitment, you will take ownership of the entire recruitment function, leading the team to maximise every available candidate source and ensuring all recruitment activity is aligned to business demand and operational delivery.
Working closely with the Recruitment Manager, Planning Manager and Sales Team, you will have a clear understanding of current demand, upcoming requirements, priority resourcing needs and areas where candidate supply is not meeting client expectations.
A key aspect of the role will be ensuring every suitable driver is fully explored, contacted and offered appropriate opportunities before being removed from the recruitment process or deemed unsuitable.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the recruitment function, ensuring recruitment activity delivers measurable operational results.
* Manage and control recruitment data across all platforms, databases and systems.
* Oversee recruitment budgets and advertising spend, ensuring maximum return on investment.
* Monitor and analyse recruitment performance, identifying opportunities to improve conversion rates and efficiencies.
* Ensure recruiters are effectively utilising all available databases, systems and candidate pools to source suitable drivers.
* Work closely with the Recruitment Manager to manage the day-to-day performance of the recruitment team.
* Set clear objectives, priorities and expectations for recruiters and ensure delivery against agreed targets.
* Collaborate with Planning, Operations and Sales teams to ensure recruitment activity is aligned with business demand.
* Bridge the gap between recruitment activity and operational delivery, ensuring client requirements are consistently met.
* Drive continuous improvement across recruitment processes, systems and reporting.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Previous experience within driving recruitment.
* A strong understanding of driver recruitment compliance, legislation and best practice.
* Proven experience managing and developing recruitment teams.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret recruitment data and drive performance improvements.
* Experience managing recruitment budgets and advertising spend.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* A results-driven approach with a focus on operational delivery and customer satisfaction.
