This broad generalist HR Manager role reports directly to the MD and is a critical role within the business.
Our engineering client is seeking an experienced HR Manager to support their site within the Staffordshire area. Working in this small business, this HR Manager role will enjoy a 4 day working week and oversee a workforce circa 60-80 employees. This standalone role is also responsible for a HR Administrator and together you will deliver a comprehensive HR service across the business. This role will drive the performance of the organisation by supporting employee engagement and developing and enhancing the positive working culture. This broad generalist HR Manager role reports directly to the MD and is a critical role within the business.
Job Description for the HR Manager role:
1. Reporting to the MD and senior leadership team on all people-related matters
2. Contributing to business strategy by aligning HR initiatives with organisational goals
3. Lead on workforce planning, organisational development, and change management initiatives
4. To manage complex employee relations matters including absence, disciplinaries, grievances, and capability issues
5. Providing expert guidance to managers, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant decision-making
6. Promote best practice and proactively mitigate employee relations risks Payroll & HR Administration Oversight
7. Oversee the accurate and timely delivery of weekly and monthly payroll processes
8. Ensure robust HR administration processes and data integrity across all systems
9. Measure and analyse employee engagement, identifying trends and implementing improvement initiatives
10. Championing a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture Performance Management
11. Drive the performance management framework, coaching managers to effectively manage performance, capability, and development
12. Support the development of high-performing teams through clear objectives and continuous feedback
Candidate Requirements:
13. Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualification
14. Strong knowledge of Employment law and HR best practice
15. Experience within a stand alone HR role
16. Experience of a full range of employee relations cases
17. Experience of managing the whole recruitment process
18. Supervisory experience
19. Someone who can development HR policies and procedures
20. Strong problem solving skills
This role is commutable from: Uttoxeter, Cheadle, Tean, Stone, Newcastle under Lyme, Stoke on Trent
This role would suit candidates with the following experience: HR BP, HR Business Partner, People Partner, People Business Partner, Strategic HR Advisor, Talent Partner, Employee Relations Partner
Hours: 4 Days per week, Monday – Thursday, 7:30 – 5:00 pm
Salary: £40,000 Per Annum
