Construction Site Manager

Our client is a well-established Retail and Commercial Contractor delivering projects across the UK with values of up to ÂŁ15 million. Due to continued growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to manage a large construction program on distribution facility based in Cardiff.
This role requires a proactive and organised individual with strong leadership skills who can effectively manage site operations, subcontractors, and health & safety compliance to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing day-to-day site operations on a busy distribustion centre
* Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are carried out in line with the project programme
* Maintaining and enforcing high standards of health & safety compliance on site
* Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
* Monitoring progress and reporting updates to the Project Manager and wider project team
* Ensuring works are completed to required quality standards, specifications, and deadlines
* Managing logistics, deliveries, and site coordination within an active retail environment where required
* Liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction projects, ideally within retail or commercial developments
* Valid CSCS Card
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
* First Aid at Work Certificate
* Asbestos Awareness
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple trades and maintain programme deadlines
