Job Introduction

Job/Person Summary

Ranvilles Junior School need a conscientious, reliable, motivated and practical person to manage and maintain our site.

Hours of Work:

37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, working pattern to be discussed / established at interview.

The successful candidate will:

* Take responsibility for the security and safety of the school buildings and site and complete appropriate risk assessments
* Manage and implement a Health and Safety calendar
* Implement basic literacy, numeracy and IT Skills in role and demonstrate knowledge of IT systems including email and Micorsoft Word.
* Act as the school's Health and Safety Representative and work in partnership with a lead governor
* Manage Health & Safety and Fire Safety, with responsibility for risk assessments, COSHH, monitoring and recording
* Act as the school's Fire Safety Co-ordinator
* Arrange and monitor contractors as necessary
* Undertake a range of minor repairs, maintenance and decorating
* Ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained at all times, by line managing and motivating a small team of cleaners
* Monitor cleaning/maintenance stock and order supplies
* Work in a flexible manner for the needs of the children and the school
* Be the principal key holder and attend emergency call outs

The successful applicant will be an important member of our dedicated and hardworking team who wishes to ensure the continued provision of an attractive, stimulating and safe school environment for our children. We are a happy and friendly team, keen to welcome a positive and motivated Site Manager.

Experience is desirable, but training can be provided. There are no internal candidates applying for the position.
