You will play an important part in the lives of the people we support by helping encourage them to create nutritious and tasty food. You will assist them in learning new cooking skills and support them in preparing flavorful meals. It would be great if you could also help them make meals from different parts of the world, adding some zing!
Role Description
Cook Volunteer
Location: Maidstone
Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per week
These cooking sessions will take place from Monday to Friday at our service in Maidstone.
Skills required
1. Passion for food and confidence in using culinary equipment
2. A food hygiene qualification is beneficial but training can be provided
3. Good communication skills, friendly and kind demeanor
4. Punctuality and reliability
5. Ability to handle information in line with data protection and confidentiality procedures

To ensure the safety of the people we support, a DBS check and two satisfactory references will be required before confirming your volunteer role. As you will be volunteering with vulnerable individuals, safeguarding training and any role-specific training will also be necessary.
