HR Manager

R13 are proud to be partnering with a long-established and much-loved local group of businesses to recruit a confident and down-to-earth HR Manager to take the reins of day-to-day HR operations.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, friendly head office team in West Norfolk supporting a wider group that spans hospitality, retail and tourism. With external HR consultancy support available and strong backing from the Finance Director and MDs, this is a great opportunity to make an impact from day one.
The Day to Day:
3. You will be the go-to person for all things HR, providing hands-on support and strategic oversight across the business. Your responsibilities will include:
4. Acting as the main point of contact for HR across all business areas, offering advice and guidance to managers and senior stakeholders.
5. Ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policy and industry standards.
6. Overseeing recruitment, on-boarding and induction processes.
7. Managing employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances and performance matters.
8. Monitoring HR metrics (attendance, sickness, etc.) to inform decision-making.
9. Handling training administration and supporting wider L&D activity.
10. Working closely with the business on H&S reporting, audits and any potential organisational changes.
11. Coordinating weekly payroll in collaboration with the Payroll Manager.
You Will Have/Be:
12. Proven experience in a standalone or senior HR generalist role, ideally in hospitality, tourism or retail (but other sectors also welcome).
13. A strong working knowledge of up-to-date employment law and best practice.
14. Excellent interpersonal skills – approachable, empathetic and confident building relationships at all levels.
15. Solid IT skills – confident using Microsoft .
16. A hands-on, team player attitude – someone who rolls their sleeves up and gets stuck in.
The Benefits:
17. Salary from £40, to £50, depending on experience.
18. Full-time hours (35 per week), but part-time considered for the right person.
