Garforth Academy are looking to appoint a Catering Manager to join our academy in February 2026 on a full time, permanent basis.
As the Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the overall efficient and effective management of the catering operations at the academy ensuring great quality food and service. You will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and service of food to agreed standards and specifications. You will ensure efficient and economic use is made of all resources, including stock, catering staff and company assets. Responsibilities
* Overall efficient and effective management of catering operations.
* Preparation, cooking and service of food to agreed standards.
* Efficient use of resources, including stock, staff and assets.
* Maintenance of food safety and hygiene standards.
* Menu planning, inventory and procurement coordination.
* Staff scheduling and training.
* Reporting on catering performance and budget.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in managing a catering or kitchen environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations.
* Proven ability to lead a team.
* NVQ/HNC in Catering or similar qualifications preferred.
* Experience in a school or academy setting desirable.
* Positive approach to continuous improvement.
