A freelance cook who has availability between May - September on ad hoc dates is required to commute to Oxford for a family living in Central Oxford. You must have a car to get there. This is a live out job so best suited to someone in commutable distance to Oxford. Parking available. If you have any availability between now and September, please send through all the dates you could work.
You will do menu planning, shopping, setting tables, washing up etc, serving. They help a bit with clearing. You must have worked in a private household before as a family private cook. Cooking for the family (2 adults and 3 children under 8 years), plus a tutor who is there Monday - Friday, so 6, plus there may be extra guests on occasions. Healthy, low sugar food. Use olive oil instead of butter in cooking (although they do eat butter at breakfast with bread). Everything has to be organic where possible. Approx times: Breakfast at 8.30, lunch at 1 and dinner 7pm roughly Breakfast just fruit, yogurt, bread, fried eggs or porridge - lunch and dinners are Platter style food. Modern, healthy fresh. They like interesting ingredients, and Ottolenghi style etc. You will work in an open plan kitchen so must be used to working around families with young children, and must be professional, clean, organised and child friendly.
