We are recruiting for a senior HR professional to join a high-performing Secondary Academy in Manchester. This school is part of a forward-thinking Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) that prides itself on educational innovation and staff development. The School: A large, urban secondary school with over 1,200 students. The school has recently undergone a multi-million-pound refurbishment and offers a modern, corporate-style office environment for its support leadership team. The Role: Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will lead the HR function with a focus on strategic workforce planning. You will manage a dedicated HR Officer and oversee the entire employee lifecycle for over 150 staff members. Key Responsibilities: Employee Relations: Acting as the lead advisor for the Principal on complex ER casework, including capability, disciplinary, and formal grievances. Policy Leadership: Developing and implementing MAT-wide HR policies that reflect the latest 2026 employment legislation and DfE guidance. Safeguarding: Holding ultimate accountability for the Single Central Record (SCR), ensuring it is "Ofsted-ready" at all times. Start Date: ASAP (Full-time, Permanent) Salary Range: £35,500 – £48,000 (Regional Scale)
