We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Proactive Sales Executive to support the growth and development of our trade customer base. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, identifying opportunities through data-driven insights, and implementing effective contact strategies to strengthen customer relationships and achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to meet the needs of smaller turnover customers, focusing on maximising the placement of pattern books in the marketplace.
* Contact customers to review performance, understand current projects, and promote collections through sampling and sales activities.
* Understand customer needs to maximise sales opportunities.
* Secure future business through excellent service and support.
* Develop and execute a customer contact strategy using all available contact tools.
* Provide world-class customer service to maximise sales opportunities.
* Record customer feedback and actions in CRM.
* Coordinate with the Customer Service Team to ensure accurate order and sample processing.
* Follow up on calls and emails.
* Analyse performance data to inform sales strategies.
* Prepare regular reports and monitor sales performance with senior management.
* Complete all administrative tasks related to the role.
* Meet personal sales targets as part of the sales team.
* Employ effective sales techniques, including upselling and cross-selling, to build strong business relationships.

Measures of Success:

* Achieving sales budget and year-over-year growth.
* Staying within expenditure budgets.
* Number of calls and emails made daily.
* Sales success according to budgeted plans.

Connecting with others:

* Collaborate with sales colleagues for optimal performance.
* Manage relationships and develop business with customers.
* Review service levels with Customer Service.
* Analyze customer performance with Finance.
* Share and drive performance with senior management.

Skills & Experience:

* Proven sales experience, preferably in call centres or mail order catalogues.
* Strong business acumen and industry knowledge.
* Experience with product demonstration and knowledge.
* Ability to build long-term business relationships.
* Self-driven, results-oriented, positive attitude.
* Proficiency with CRM systems and WG360.
* Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
