You will be given direction / support from your line manager. You must have Catering Manager or supervisory experience as well as cooking skills / experience Part of your duties within this role will include the following: - Providing meals to Nursery settings and school meals to children and young people Managing the staffing complement at both Kirkcudbright Academy and Primary schools Organising the day-to-day running of both kitchens Cash handling Use of technology Managing the kitchen budget / food waste Responsible for legislation and compliance in relation to H.A.S.A.W. and H.A.C.C.P. Be Allergen Aware Work under pressure and meet deadlines Be able to approach problem management with ease Deal with any complaints Follow Council processes and procedures Customer awareness Be aware of the current food trends and customer awareness Also be aware of the current food trends and customer awareness This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
