About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional Internal Recruiter to join our dynamic team.
We're looking for someone who will take full ownership of the recruitment function, drive innovation, and ultimately build a high-performing recruitment team in the UK.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, resourceful, and commercially minded.
Someone who thrives on responsibility, makes sound judgments, and actively shapes their role.
This person will be confident in engaging with stakeholders at all levels, from candidates and universities to clients and directors, and will be comfortable setting up meetings, asking questions, and finding creative solutions to complex recruitment challenges.
The candidate will be looking after open positions predominately in the engineering sector, so experience within this field would be beneficial.
This role offers significant scope for growth for the right person who can drive it. This would include the opportunity to develop and manage a UK-based recruitment team as the business expands.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact for all recruitment activities across TECOSIM UK.
* Partner with hiring managers to understand resourcing needs and proactively provide updates. This includes visiting managers who are based at customer sites.
* Support the business development functions for recruitment and other stakeholders
* Headhunt and source candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, and internal databases to build strong talent pipelines.
* Screen and assess candidates effectively, ensuring suitability for both role and culture.
* Maintain and update the candidate database, ensuring accurate and timely records.
* Manage the visa and work-permit application process.
* Develop relationships with universities and further education establishments to attract associate and placement engineers.
* Draft and advertise job descriptions across job boards, the TECOSIM website, and social channels.
* Attend graduate recruitment fairs, networking events, and industry functions to raise TECOSIM's profile and attract talent.
* Provide clear updates on candidate and vacancy status to hiring managers.
* Produce accurate job descriptions and person specifications in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Offer candidates initial job offers and manage recruitment correspondence.
* Work alongside HR when a new candidate has accepted an offer from TECOSIM or directly with a customer.
* Identify opportunities independently to improve recruitment processes and implement new systems or practices to enhance efficiency.
* Deliver market insights on salaries and competitor trends to inform decision-making.
* Ensure compliance with legal and best-practice requirements throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
* Build and nurture strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and candidates.
Skills & Attributes
* Prior in-house recruitment experience is preferred; however, candidates with agency backgrounds who can adapt quickly to an internal setting will also be considered.
* Highly proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
* Confident engaging with stakeholders up to director level.
* Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
* Ability to work at pace, prioritise effectively, and think on your feet.
* Strong judgment and decision-making skills in all aspects of work, including candidate selection.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
* Quick to learn new ATS.
* Adaptable and resilient, able to integrate future systems seamlessly.
* Being able to ad-hoc travel to customer and internal locations independently – holding a driving license
Education & Experience
* Proven recruitment experience; technical or engineering recruitment strongly preferred.
* Knowledge of the automotive, motorsport, or commercial vehicle industries highly advantageous (or a strong interest in developing this expertise).
* Experience in customer-facing or client relationship roles.
* Competence in handling emails, phone calls, and general administrative tasks in a professional setting.
* Strong LinkedIn Recruiter skills and familiarity with social sourcing strategies.
* Visa knowledge is beneficial
