Job Title: Site Agent/Manager
Location: Maidstone
The Role: The Site Agent will be responsible for managing construction projects, ensuring delivery aligns with customer objectives while maintaining health and safety, quality, environmental standards, and controlling costs. The role involves working closely with project teams to complete projects safely, on time, and within budget, exceeding customer expectations where possible.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the successful delivery of projects in the Civils and Water sectors
* Ensure work is completed to the specified quality standards without defects
* Lead teams including Sub Agents, Engineers, and Foremen to deliver work safely and environmentally responsibly
* Develop and implement Project Plans, RAMS, ITPs, and Waste Management Plans as per company procedures
* Maximize the commercial performance of contracts
* Manage project construction schedules and produce 2-week lookahead plans
* Coordinate procurement to ensure adequate resources
Client Interface:
* Represent the company professionally to clients, the public, and authorities
* Deliver projects that meet or exceed client requirements and satisfaction
Cost Control:
* Maintain and manage project budgets
* Drive cost efficiency and challenge existing processes
* Identify value engineering opportunities
Reporting:
* Produce accurate monthly reports for internal and client review
* Lead weekly site meetings
Performance Measures & Targets:
* Meet reporting deadlines
* Achieve Business Unit Objectives and KPIs
Key Relationships:
* Clients and stakeholders
* Subcontractors and suppliers
* Site teams and support departments
Person Specification:
* Extensive experience in Civil Engineering and site management in regulated environments
* Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, design, programming, risk, and cost management
* Relevant qualifications (Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, CSCS, IOSH/SMSTS, Temporary Works Coordinator, Confined Space Training)
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Ability to challenge and resolve design and project issues
* Knowledge of Primavera P6, JCT, and NEC contracts
