The VOA's Data Architecture Team is recruiting for a permanent Data Architect within Data Foundations in the Information, Data & Analysis Directorate. The Data Architecture team serves as the voice of data for the Valuation Office Agency (VOA), providing guidance, producing artefacts, and collaborating with key stakeholders to:
* Effectively manage VOA data assets
* Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams
* Champion data-driven design and the adoption of data centricity
* Provide VOA business streams with efficient, secure, and reliable access to high-quality data
The team is part of the Information Data and Analysis Directorate (ID&A), within the Finance, Data and Analysis Group. In this role, you will support the Head of Data Architecture to develop and deliver a high-performing Data Architecture Service, including producing data flow diagrams, understanding, defining, and advocating for the agency's data requirements, refining VOA data architecture principles, and establishing the VOA's data architecture framework. We are developing a long-term data architecture strategy and focusing on maturing VOA's internal data architecture capability.

Data Architect - Data Model Product Owner - Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve leading a team of Data Modellers engaged with Transformation Programmes and utilizing Logical Data Models, along with developing and assuring Modelling Standards for use by Solution Design and Build Teams. You will deliver Logical Models aligned with the central enterprise model, as defined by key business stakeholders for Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rating streams. Additionally, you will collaborate with Technical Experts to extend Logical Models to incorporate innovations and improvements.
* Deliver Logical models fitting into the enterprise/business data model
* Support transformation programme design and development
* Develop conceptual data models
* Establish standards and policies
* Design geo-spatial data models
* Provide oversight and advice to other data architects on data artefacts
Supporting activities include:
* Design and standards for strategic reference data
* Development of the Data Architecture roadmap and VOA Data Strategy
