A large and well-established secondary school in south Birmingham is looking to appoint a highly organised HR Administrator to join its professional support team from January 2026. This is a varied, people-focused role ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a warm, confidential approach. The Role You’ll support day-to-day HR operations, working closely with the HR Manager and wider leadership team. Key responsibilities include: Handling recruitment administration, including adverts, shortlisting packs and interview coordination Managing staff onboarding, safer recruitment checks and personnel files Updating HR systems, absence records and safeguarding documentation Preparing letters, contracts and payroll information Supporting HR queries from staff and maintaining excellent communication The school has over 1,500 students and a large staff body, so the work is fast-paced but supported by a friendly, experienced team.
