Our client are seeing a proactive HR Administrator / Office Manager to support the office with a particular focus on the onboarding and induction of electrical apprentices. This role requires excellent coordination skills, an understanding of vocational training requirements, and the ability to create a welcoming, compliant, and efficient administrative experience for new apprentices.
Key Responsibilities
Apprentice Induction & Onboarding

Coordinate and deliver comprehensive induction programmes for new electrical apprentices.
*
Ensure all onboarding documentation, ID checks, and compliance paperwork are completed and filed appropriately.
*
Liaise with training providers and assessors to align onboarding with curriculum and safety training requirements.
*
Introduce apprentices to company policies, values, and safety protocols.
*
Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), tools, and documentation are issued at induction.
Office & Administrative Management
*
Oversee day-to-day operations of the office, including supplies, scheduling, and correspondence.
*
Maintain accurate records of apprentice progress, certifications, attendance, and reviews.
*
Assist with scheduling apprentice reviews, training updates, and probationary meetings.
*
Manage internal communication regarding apprentice movements, performance, and site placements.
*
Provide administrative support to the operations team as needed.
Compliance & Safeguarding
*
Maintain up-to-date apprentice records in line with data protection and safeguarding standards.
*
Ensure Health & Safety and risk assessments are communicated and understood.
*
Monitor and report any concerns relating to apprentice welfare or performance.
Essential Skills & Experience
*
Proven experience in office management or high-level administrative roles.
*
Familiarity with apprenticeship schemes, especially in construction or electrical trades.
*
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
*
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
*
Ability to work independently and use initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
*
Knowledge of electrical industry qualifications and frameworks (e.g., NVQs, ECS Cards).
*
Experience working with training providers or apprenticeship management software.
*
First Aid or Safeguarding qualification.
