Employment type: Part-time (23 hours per week across a two‑week rota)
Shift schedule:
* Week 1: Tuesday 7.30‑6.30, Saturday 7.30‑2.30, Sunday 7.30‑2.30
* Week 2: Wednesday 7.30‑2.30, Thursday 7.30‑6.30, Friday 7.30‑2.30
Nor’s Catering delivers fantastic, locally sourced menus to residents in Norfolk Care Homes created with customer feedback in mind to ensure mealtimes are something to look forward to. We offer an exciting opportunity for a Cook to join the team at Rose Meadow, a residential care home.
Main Responsibilities
* Preparing, cooking, and serving food, ensuring the dietary requirements of residents are met.
* Supporting the training of the catering team to maintain excellent customer service.
* Complying with Health & Safety and food hygiene procedures, ensuring these are always adhered to.
* Creating innovative displays and meals to promote healthy food choices.
What we’re looking for
You will have previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment with an organised approach to tasks, alongside a good understanding of the food industry, costs and working to a set budget. A passion for delivering fantastic customer service is essential, and we will be looking for you to demonstrate strong communication skills with an adaptable approach to work. Ideally you will have some knowledge of relevant legislation such as Health & Safety and the Food Safety Act, however full training can be provided.
