Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of enterprise data architecture and analytics capabilities. This role is critical to enabling data-driven decision-making by defining scalable, secure, and well-governed data solutions aligned with business and technology strategies.
As part of the Data Architecture function, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping data platforms, standards, and best practices while collaborating closely with business, analytics, and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Define and manage enterprise data architecture to maximize the value of data assets.
2. Develop and maintain a Data Architecture Strategy, Blueprint, and Roadmap.
3. Implement architecture- and capability-led approaches to support advanced analytics and large-scale data initiatives.
4. Define information architecture requirements for large and complex programs.
5. Create reusable enterprise data architecture models, standards, and patterns.
6. Establish, promote, and govern data governance best practices, including quality, security, and compliance.
7. Act as a subject matter expert for end-to-end data architecture across platforms and domains.
8. Collaborate with agile delivery teams to design and implement modern, scalable data products using emerging technologies.
9. Partner with business and IT stakeholders to advocate for data architecture principles and alignment.
10. Provide mentorship and guidance to build data architecture capability across teams.
11. Support both change initiatives and business-as-usual (BAU) requirements through strong stakeholder communication.
12. Contribute to innovation, continuous improvement, and internal knowledge-sharing communities.
Required Skills & Experience
Data Architecture & Modelling
13. Strong experience designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
14. Ability to harmonize data across multiple domains and lines of business.
15. Experience integrating data from multiple sources while ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Data Governance & Compliance
16. Proven experience defining and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
17. Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Data Platforms & Technology
18. Technical leadership experience with enterprise data platforms and ecosystems.
19. Exposure to platforms such as SAS, Oracle, and cloud-based data technologies.
20. Strong understanding of modern data engineering and analytics architectures.
Collaboration & Leadership
21. Experience working with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business objectives.
22. Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
23. Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn in a rapidly evolving data landscape.
Education
24. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
