Sales Executive
Peterborough, Cambridgeshire (office-based)
£40,000 – £45,000 basic (OTE £65,000 – £120,000 year 1)
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Key responsibilities for the Sales Executive role:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Broker, you’ll be responsible for:
1. Generating new business through outbound calls and building rapport with potential clients
2. Taking a consultative approach to understand client needs and recommend suitable financial solutions
3. Qualifying opportunities and passing them to senior team members for completion
4. Building and maintaining a consistent pipeline of leads
5. Supporting with proposal documentation and funding applications
6. Gathering and reviewing client documentation and business information
7. Learning to interpret financial data and company accounts
8. Working towards KPI and SLA targets within a structured sales process
9. Collaborating closely with senior team members and mentors
10. Responding to internal requests and supporting wider team objectives
Skills and experience
We’re looking for a Sales Executive who has the following:
11. Previous experience in sales or a target-driven environment
12. Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly
13. A motivated, driven, and disciplined approach to work
14. Confidence speaking with business owners and decision-makers
15. Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
16. A proactive and resilient mindset with a focus on results
17. Basic Microsoft Office skills
18. A positive attitude and willingness to learn
