Regional HR Manager - Barnsley / South Yorkshire
Location: Barnsley / South Yorkshire - travel to Wales and South
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 plus car allowance and excellent benefits

Your new role
Reporting to the HR Director, you will join the Regional HR team as one of four HR Managers allocated to a region. Your responsibilities include creating strong business partnering relationships with internal stakeholders, fully partnering with a geographical area, and leading on the delivery of the People Plan through project management, change management, and people development activities. You will also be responsible for line managing one or more direct reports.
You will:
* Be recognized as a leader in HR matters by key stakeholders and the leadership team, adding value through strong commercial awareness of the business environment.
* Lead HR change projects and restructuring initiatives.
* Manage union negotiations, utilizing well-developed relationships.
* Drive the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) agenda across your areas of responsibility.
* Develop and embed new HR/business procedures or initiatives as needed.
* Promote understanding of talent management and utilize succession management processes.
* Lead key senior-level recruitment activities.
* Work with HR Business Partners and stakeholders to use HR Key Performance Indicators to address issues like high absence and turnover.
* Participate in regional and business management meetings.
* Define and lead occupational health programs.
This role is based at head office with regional site visits—approximately twice a month to Wales (including overnight stays) and other locations, offering variety in multisite work. It requires working at pace to deliver comprehensive HR services.
What you'll need to succeed
* A solid background in operational HR support and strategic HR work.
* Experience from construction, manufacturing, engineering, or similar industries.
* Experience in fast-paced, blue-collar environments.
* CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
