The Role
This is a full-time role. Working under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo, you will support an individual child who has an EHCP (Education, Health, Care Plan).
Main Responsibilities
Deliver targeted interventions that support social and emotional development.
Support child in class to access the teaching content and engage in lessons.
Manage challenging behaviour in a calm and patient manner.
Ensure child's safety and welfare is always maintained.
Feed back to the class teacher and/or SENDCo at regular points throughout the week.
Essential Criteria
Previous experience working in an educational setting
Ability to build trusting relationships, remain calm under pressure, and use initiative
