Occasional travel to Peterborough or Inchinnan offices may be required. During the 3-month probation period intensive role training will be required onsite at one of the office locations, which may involve ad hoc overnight stays up to 3 days.
What you’ll be doing
* Project Management: Ensure all elements of the project delivery including planning, monitoring and reporting against timescales, objectives, budget, and quality are delivered.
* Standard Development and Maintenance: Manage the life cycle of all standards including development, maintenance, and withdrawal of Short Duration Training Standards, National Occupational Standards, and Competence Frameworks.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Organise, promote, facilitate, and chair National Working Groups with industry stakeholders to consult, design and develop new and existing standards.
* Product Knowledge and Sector Awareness: Gain a complete understanding of requirements of standards development for both regulated and unregulated standards.
Your Experience
* Educated to A’ Level or equivalent/experience.
* Project Management Qualification (Prince 2 or APM or APM Foundation).
* Demonstrable experience and/or knowledge of the current education and skills landscape in construction, including qualifications, skills, and competence within the construction industry at all levels.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills to enable persuading, influencing and negotiating.
* Intermediate user skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Visio.
* Experience of working within a quality management system e.g. BS/EN/ISO9001.
* Previous experience working with key stakeholders within the construction sector.
* Technical writing experience.
* Knowledge of qualifications and apprenticeship design and structure across all home nations.
Special Conditions/Other Requirements
* The post may require some working of non-standard hours as workload dictates.
* Occasional travel and overnight stay may be required as part of working group meetings.
* Carrying out additional duties as shall from time to time be required as workload dictates.
