Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a HR Administrator / Shared Services Assistant to join Derby City Council on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
This is a frontline role, providing the first point of contact for employees, managers, and stakeholders seeking HR support. You’ll play a vital part in delivering an efficient, high-quality service — handling HR administration, processing employee information, and ensuring a positive experience for everyone you support.
What You’ll Be Doing

Act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, providing accurate advice and guidance or signposting where appropriate.

Deliver a professional, responsive service to employees, managers, and external partners via phone, email, and ticketing systems.

Process HR transactions such as new starters, leavers, contract changes, and absence records accurately and on time.
*
Maintain HR systems and employee records, ensuring all data is up to date and compliant with GDPR.

Experience working in HR administration, customer service, or a shared services environment.
