As HR Officer, you will partner with the HRBP Supply Chain team to provide the full range of HR services. This is a 12 month fixed-term contract (FTC). The role requires onsite presence 4 days per week and travel between various sites in Belfast.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Responsible for HR administration, including supporting resourcing, induction, probation, off boarding, retirement, HR KPIs, resolving payroll queries, and processing status changes to the HR Operation team.
* Support and assist managers in employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary meetings and hearings. This includes attending meetings, taking minutes and drafting letters.
* Support engagement, communications and culture development initiatives on site.
* Provide HR officer support for HR-wide initiatives and projects.
* Advise managers and colleagues on HR policies to promote consistent and fair application.
* Coordinate, plan and deliver training interventions; assist in identifying training needs from annual reviews, scheduling and coordinating training courses, and acting as the point of contact for employees regarding training and development.
* Assist managers with performance management, absence management, problem solving and engagement activities.
* Provide guidance and support to individual employees, facilitate problem solving, and be a point of contact.
* Maintain excellent relationships with managers and colleagues and ensure accurate record-keeping of employee information in electronic and digital formats.
What We’re Looking For
* Third level qualification in HR/Business or equivalent; CIPD qualification or equivalent is desirable.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar HR role with exposure to employee relations and HR operations.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Working knowledge of employment legislation with the ability to advise confidently on same.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels of the business.
* Strong coaching skills and ability to build trust with a variety of stakeholders.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and resilience; able to adapt to change.
* Full driving license required due to travel between sites.
* Flexibility in working hours; occasional night shift meetings may be required.
Nice to Have
* Experience in a HR officer role, ideally in a unionised logistics, retail or manufacturing environment.
